gives a smoothed version of the structure factor of a rectangular rod.

  • The structure factor of a rectangular rod is constructed from structure factors of the dielectric slab. Therefore, the structure factor for a smoothed rectangular rod can be constructed from the structure factors of smoothed dielectric slabs. The smoothing is performed by a convolution with a Gaussian.
