GTJminus

GTJminus[J]
gives the lowering operator for angular momentum J.

DetailsDetails

  • GTJminus gives a matrix representation of the raising operator acting on an irreducible subspace with total angular momentum quantum number J.
  • The lowering operator acts as J-|j; m> = |j; m-1>
  • J- is related to Jx and Jy: J-= Jx - i Jy (see GTJx and GTJy)
  • For the corresponding raising operator, see GTJplus.
  • GTJminus is a GTPack command [1,2].
